Sod Cutting Ceremony New Build

This morning, Thursday 30 August 2018, a sod cutting ceremony took place in school to mark the progress of the new school build from the planning stage to that of construction. Councillors Perry and Dickie, the Convener and Vice-Convener respectively of the Education Committee, City of Edinburgh Council were in attendance. Heads of School, Emily Wood and David Williamson welcomed the guests.  Also present were representatives from Scotland's Future Trust, Hub South East and Morrison Construction who are all involved in this project. A special invitation went out to all the cluster primary schools - Echline, Queensferry, Dalmeny, Kirkliston also St Margaret's and pupils from P6 and P7 came along with their Headteachers to witness the ceremony. Of course, the current P6 pupils will be the first new year group to join the new school when it is completed in 2020.
