The school was back today Monday 5 March 2018, fully operational after a nasty weather front from the East labelled 'beast from the East' brought a good 20cm plus of snow to the area. The school was closed, as was all other C.E.C schools, from Wednesday 28 February to Friday 2 March 2018 inclusive.
On Sunday 4 March, snow clearing took place. Thanks to the efforts of a small army of volunteers comprising parents, staff, students, members of the community and a local Councillor, we managed to clear all paths, emergency evacuation areas and the car park . Special mention to local business man, Geoff with his land rover plough! It was indeed a wonderful example of community partnership and resilience. Thank you you also to the local company who stepped in to provide very welcome refreshments.
