Pupil Council

As the views of every pupil at QCHS are important, every class elects a class representative to stand for the Pupil Council.

Discussions are held during class PSE and issues arising are then brought by the class representative to the Pupil Council meetings. The QCHS Pupil Council is split into three – we have the Lower (S1&2), Middle (S3&4) and Upper (S5&6) School Pupil Council groups who try and meet once a month to discuss a range of issues relevant to their year groups.

From this, one member from each year group is elected to become a member of the Executive Pupil Council who can then take the issues from the individual meetings to the Executive meeting which involve all Heads of House as well as the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). This is a way of the SLT engaging with the pupils to discuss important issues which have been raised during the individual PC meetings. Executive PC members can then take back to their respective PC groups the feedback from the meeting.
